Caucasian rugs were produced in a region of about 160,000 square miles, stretching from the Black Sea in the west to the Caspian Sea in the east, in what is now called the most south westerly part of the Soviet Union. Many of our Caucasian rugs are named after old weaving districts such as Kuba, Shirvan, Daghestan, and Talish.
